Welcome to the: Fiddlin' Phil Strings Method
This is a unique, motivational & very enjoyable method of learning to play a stringed instrument. This method is available for:

Each book in this Teaching Method can be used for:
• Individual beginning students – violin, viola, cello & double bass OR
• Small groups – all violin, viola etc or mixed groups OR
• LARGE groups – classes of up to 30 – or more violins, violas etc – or mixed classes of any combination.
• School Ensembles – ALL arrangements can be used as flexible ensemble arrangements to feature beginning and experienced students together in school concerts, eisteddfods etc – limited only by the teacher’s and students’ imagination.
The Fiddlin’ Phil Strings Method also features:
• A quality backing CD using real instruments – tracks with & without the melody that motivates the student/s & gets results quickly.
• Arrangements that feature up to 3 different levels of difficulty – starting with open strings – the student can find the level that they are comfortable with – all students feel a sense of achievement. Experienced students can be challenged.
• Carefully planned arrangements in carefully selected keys, which means that in mixed classes or groups, the violin, viola, cello and double bass parts really do work together.
• Motivational & fun melodies/arrangements in Classical, Blues, Jazz, Country & Western and Folk styles as well as original composed pieces that teach relevant musical and string playing concepts.
• A Teacher’s handbook with piano accompaniment for ensemble performance, theory worksheets which may be photocopied for students, a CD with listening & score reading examples, lessons & activities in performing, listening & organizing sound (composing)
